About

I am a second-year PhD student at the Courant Institute School at New York University (NYU). I am originally from Coquitlam, BC, Canada, and received my BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University (SFU) in 2024. In my free time, I like to watch anime, go for walks/hikes, go bouldering, and see musicals on Broadway.

Research Interests

I am broadly interested in the analysis of partial differential equations and computer-assisted proof methods in this field. My current studies have been focused on self-similar blow-up in fluid equations. More specifically, I am interested in using interval arithmetic to rigorously prove the existence of exact self-similar profiles starting from approximate profiles. My advisor is Tristan Buckmaster.

Land Acknowledgement

I respectfully acknowledge that I currently work and live in Lenapehoking, the unceded traditional land of the Lenape peoples, which settlers now call New York City. It is important to recognize the ongoing and systemic violence of settler colonialism across North America and beyond. I recognize that reconciliation is an active process, and I commit to reflecting on my role in it as a settler on Indigenous lands.
